120 volt 15 amp receptacle
We arrived at a residential home in Metairie, LA. 70003 to conduct an electrician electrical inspection on a dedicated electric circuit which was controlled by an 15 amp circuit breaker. There was no arc fault breaker installed on this particular circuit to trip the circuit breaker upon a fault detected on the circuit and the existing circuit breaker was unable to sense an ark fault.
The Metairie electrician who services this area checked the condition of the electrical wiring within in the home and the electrical wiring was new and of good condition. The electrician took note that electrical circuit breaker panel did not have any corrosion on the electric buss where the the circuit breaker was set inside the circuit breaker panel. The circuit breaker panel was a 200 amp circuit breaker panel with a 200 amp main breaker fuse protection switch. The meter was inserted in a 200 amp meter socket.
The electrician removed the burned 120 volt 15 amp receptacle and the copper electrical wiring connection had good wire connectors installed on the hot, neutral , and ground wires. The electrician reported that wire connectors where not burned by any signs of overheating due to amperage flow and faulty connections. The electrician also stated that the wire connections where not push in the back of the 120 volt 15 amp electric receptacle which is not a lasting electrical tap.
The electrician found that the problem was a worn out electrical receptacle. Whenever the electrician in Metairie troubleshoots an electrical fire he must analyze the complete electrical circuit to make sure there is no other electric faults in the circuit.
The electrician replace the 120 volt 15 amp electrical receptacle and circuit is now working properly.
