In the city of New Orleans in an uptown neighborhood our New Orleans electricians was troubleshooting a electrical power outage within a residential home. Inside the garage there were 4 receptacles that had no electrical power flowing through the electrical outlet. The New Orleans electrician opened each electrical device within the circuit that had no power. The New Orleans electrician notice that the receptacles around the home were not working.

The New Orleans electrician tested the voltage to each circuit breaker inside the 200 main circuit breaker indoor panel.

The New Orleans electrician made his way up into the attic and carefully traced out the electric romex wiring.

After tracing the electrical wiring through out the residents he noticed that there was an device box that was not readily accessible behind a shelf that was loaded down with cleaning supplies. The New Orleans electrician knew that he had to get the customer to remove the supplies to service the GFCI receptacle that was behind the shelf.

The New Orleans electrician opened the GFCI ground fault receptacle and the GFCI ground fault circuit interruptor was faulty and burning up.

The New Orleans electrician remove the GFCI ground fault protection outlet and the problem was solved.
